The 14th Dalai Lama recognized Gedhun Choekyi Nyima as the 11th Panchen Lama

In May 1995, Chinese occupying forces abducted six year-old Panchen Lama (Gedhun Choekyi Nyima) from his home in Tibet.
The child has not been seen or heard from since.

Gyalwa Ensapa

Ensapa Lobsang Döndrup (1505–1568) was a Tibetan Buddhist religious leader. He was posthumously recognised as the third Panchen Lama.
Ensapa was known to have spent more than 20 years meditating in isolated caves near the Himalayan mountains. When he was a young boy Gyalwa Ensäpa received many visions of Buddha Shakyamuni. He also possessed natural clairvoyance and was able to know that people were about to visit his family even when they were still many days' journey away. Later, when he ordained as a monk, he was able to recite the entire Perfection of Wisdom Sutra in Eight Thousand Lines from memory, both in Tibetan and in Sanskrit. His fellow monks, who had never heard Sanskrit spoken, thought that he was possessed by spirits!

When Gyalwa Ensapa was about five or six years old...

Gyalwa Ensapa (1505 - 1566) was a great Kadampa master born in Ensa,
at Hlaku near the Tsang River in Tibet. He achieved enlightenment in one brief lifetime like the famous yogi Milarepa. Unlike Milarepa, Gyalwa Ensapa achieved enlightenment without having to endure such hardship.

The lineage of mahamudra of Drubchen Chökyi Dorje

Gyalwa Ensapa said,
In short, whatever great or small realization one generates is due to having meditated with little or great devotion. To the qualified valid gurus, may I be able to complete the commitment without obstacles, and look at the gurus’ qualities with no mistakes.
